In vacanza in campeggio con la famiglia, il sedicenne Max si avventura in un un bosco che si rivela essere un’area di cruising. Incontra uno sconosciuto che gli sembra molto familiare…
On a family camping trip, 16-year-old Max is drawn to a cruising site in the woods, where encounters a stranger who is all too familiar.
Biografia regista / Director Biography
Sam Icklow (1984) è un regista australiano. Ha vissuto e lavorato a Giacarta, in Indonesia, a Berlino e di recente a Los Angeles. Dopo aver essersi cimentato con il cinema sperimentale e la videoarte, attualmente frequenta un Master in regia alla UCLA. I suoi film esplorano la confusa complessità di sessualità e identità, in particolare di coloro che vivono al di fuori della cultura mainstream e indagano il significato dell’essere queer.
Nel 2013 è stato premiato con il Sean Slattery Memorial GLBT Voices Award e nel 2014 con il Carl David Memorial Fellowship in Film and Video e il BAFTA LA Scholar. Attualmente Sam sta lavorando alla post-produzione del film “Untitled, L.A” realizzato per il master all’UCLA, ad una coproduzione berlinese e all’adattamento cinematografico di un racconto della scrittrice australiana Sarah-Jane Norman.

Sam Icklow (b. 1984) is a Australian filmmaker. He has lived and worked in Jogjakarta, Indonesia, Berlin and now Los Angeles. With a background in performance and experimental film, he is currently a MFA Directing candidate at UCLA’s School of Theater, Film and Television. His films explore the messy complexities of sexuality and identity, specifically those that occupy spaces outside of the mainstream culture. What does it mean to be queer?
