Fabiu di Stefan Langthaler

Arthur, un pensionato ottantenne, vive in una modesta casa popolare a Vienna. Da un po ‘di tempo si prende amorevolmente cura della moglie Martha, gravemente ammalata, con l’aiuto di un’infermiera. Quando incontra Fabiu, il nuovo aiuto ungherese assunto per occuparsi della moglie malata, la sua routine cambia. Arthur prova di nuovo sentimenti e desideri a lungo repressi.

Biografia del regista
Stefan Langthaler è nato nel 1987 a Vienna. Dal 2008 al 2013 ha studiato scrittura e regia al Filmcollege Vienna. Il suo lungometraggio di diploma “ALONE” è stato presentato in anteprima al New Hampshire Film Festival ed è stato proiettato in vari festival cinematografici nazionali e internazionali. Stefan è stato invitato al programma di sviluppo di sceneggiature “scriptLAB fiction” al Drehbuchforum Vienna e ha lavorato come assistente del regista al Burgtheater e al Kammerspiele Vienna. Ha debuttato alla refia conil documentario “SARGIS – Such is life” presentato in anteprima al Diagonale Festival of Austrian Film 2018 e proiettato in seguito a numerosi festival cinematografici nazionali e internazionali. Recentemente ha lavorato come assistente per il regista Michael Kreihsl e ha ricevuto il prestigioso “Thomas Pluch Screenplay Award” per “Fabiu”.

80-year-old retiree Arthur lives in a modest council home in Vienna. For quite some time he has lovingly been caring for his seriously ill wife Martha, with only female nurses assisting him. As he finds Fabiu, the new male hungarian care worker, on his doorstep, his routine is broken. But soon the two men become closer and inside Arthur feelings of desire and suppressed longing start to rise.

Director Biography
Stefan Langthaler was born in 1987 in Vienna. From 2008 to 2013 he studied Writing and Directing at Filmcollege Vienna. His medium-length graduation film „ALONE“ premiered at New Hampshire Film Festival and was shown at various national and international film festivals. He was invited into the Script-developing program „scriptLAB fiction“ at the Drehbuchforum Vienna and worked as assistant to the director at the Burgtheater and Kammerspiele Vienna. His feature- length film debut as director was the documentary „SARGIS – Such is life“. It celebrated it’s premiere at the Diagonale Festival of Austrian Film 2018 and was then shown at numerous national and international film festivals.
Recently he worked as artistic assistant for director Michael Kreihsl and received the prestigious “Thomas Pluch Screenplay Award” for his work on “Fabiu”.
