Alma Mater di Nathan Brewer (USA, 2017), 17’, v.o. inglese, sott. italiano

Autunno, 1993. Le Riot Grrrls e le Women of Substance si contendono il palcoscenico per la festa del diploma al Beecher College. Riusciranno ad andare d’accordo, anche solo per una notte? Una commedia musicale sul femminismo e l’amicizia.

Biografia del regista
Nathan Brewer è un regista di teatro, opera, film e concerti. Ha lavorato al Lincoln Center, The Kennedy Center, Washington National Opera, Theatreworks/USA, New York Musical Theatre Festival, Town Hall, Park Avenue Armory, Forestburgh Playhouse, Princeton Festival, Long Island Musical Theatre Festival, Pennsylvania Centre Stage, American Pops Orchestra, Fairfax Symphony, West Virginia Symphony e  Blue Hill Troupe. Nathan ha diretto anche Helen Hayes Awards, Standing Ovation Awards (Kennedy Center) e Hispanic Heritage Awards. Ha inoltre diretto tre film per la New York Film Academy oltre ad aver lavorato per la produzione di nuovi musical (NYMF, The York, 54 Below). Nathan ha insegnato alla New York University (Tisch), Penn State, Westminster Choir College e alla New York Film Academy. Ha lavorato inoltre come assistente alla regia per Aladdin (Broadway) e Relatively Speaking (Broadway). Nathan è anche il fondatore e il direttore artistico di Recreational Artsche si occupa di formazione sulle arti performative con sede a New York, New Jersey e Pennsylvania.

Fall, 1993. On Alumni Weekend at Beecher College, warring student groups find their events double-booked in the same space. Can the Riot Grrls and the Women of Substance ever agree– even for just a night? A musical comedy about feminism, friendship, and finding common ground.

Director Biography
Nathan Brewer is a director of theatre, opera, concerts, film, and events.  Directing credits include Lincoln Center, The Kennedy Center, Washington National Opera, Theatreworks/USA, New York Musical Theatre Festival, Town Hall, Park Avenue Armory, Forestburgh Playhouse, Princeton Festival, Long Island Musical Theatre Festival, Pennsylvania Centre Stage, American Pops Orchestra, Fairfax Symphony, West Virginia Symphony, and Blue Hill Troupe. Nathan has also directed the Helen Hayes Awards, Standing Ovation Awards (Kennedy Center), and Hispanic Heritage Awards (aired on PBS). Committed to the development of new works, Mr. Brewer has directed three original movie musicals for the New York Film Academy, in addition to multiple productions and industry readings of new musicals (NYMF, The York, 54 Below).  Nathan has taught and/or directed at New York University (Tisch), Penn State, Westminster Choir College, and New York Film Academy.  Assisting credits include Aladdin (Broadway), and Relatively Speaking (Broadway).  Nathan is the Founder & Artistic Director of Recreational Arts, a performing arts educational organization, with programs in New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania.
